Coat the entire gasket thoroughly wiping.
Apply a grease based lubricant such as petroleum jelly by dipping a paper towel into the container then rubbing the lubricant onto the door gasket.
First wipe the hinge area with a clean rag and spray it with lithium grease.
Silicone lubricant is available in both wet and dry formulas.
Then apply a second coat to both surfaces and press the weather strip into place.
